Tourism and handicap

People with disabilities need accessible tourist destinations and facilities. This is the spirit behind the "Tourisme & Handicap" label, easily identified by a logo with four different pictograms, each one corresponding to a different disability - motor, hearing, visual and behavioural.

The Regional Association of the Logis de France is particularly aware of these special needs and, in a partnership which has been financed by the Conseil Régional Languedoc-Roussillon, has taken a welcome initiative. Hospitality establishments which sign up for the plan will undergo an audit to discover how better to welcome disabled travellers, what facilities to install and what services to offer visitors with various disabilities.
